Lauralea Sanks
Lauralea Sanks began her journey into early childhood as a career more than 20 years ago! She first became a registered family child care home in 1989 and now operates an infant toddler group home with her husband, Gary. She and Gary look at their career as more than a job, but a God given ministry and feel blessed to love what they do. Lauralea is the mother of a 23 year old daughter and two adult step-children. She fell in love with caring for children when her sole sibling came along when she was 11. She began babysitting in her community the following summer and has really never stopped working with kiddos. She became active in her church's youth group and children's ministry about the same time. Lauralea has been the Junior Church teacher at Calvary Community Church since May of 2006 and assisted in the ministry before that. She has been attending Calvary Community Church since November of 1991, but committed her heart to God when she was seven years old. Because of that, she knows how important ministry to children is, even at a very young age.
Her educational path started with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work in 1996 and in 2000 she completed her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from UM Western. She went on to realize her dream and achieved her goal to complete a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a special needs emphasis in 2008.
